    Monitoring Fusion IO with Zabbix, How to ?

    Hi,

    I am trying to achieve Fusion IO Monitoring with Zabbix. I am using the ZAbbix version 2.4

    I found this https://www.zabbix.org/wiki/Fusion-i..._SNMP_Template

    When I try to import the template, I get error for the value mappings.

    Code:
    Cannot find value map "Fusion-io ioDrive :: 1:Yes, 2:No" used for item prototype "Device {#SNMPVALUE} adapter external power present" of discovery rule "Discover ioDrive devices" on "Template SNMP Fusion-io ioDrive".Cannot find value map "Fusion-io ioDrive :: 1:Yes, 2:No" used for item prototype "Device {#SNMPVALUE} adapter external power present" of discovery rule "Discover ioDrive devices" on "Template SNMP Fusion-io ioDrive".
    Whether anyone had any success with the Fusion IO monitoring ?

    What should be the mappings ?

    Thanks and Regards,

    A

    The template you're trying to import uses a valuemap. You'll have to create that valuemap first before importing the template (Admistration - general - valuemapping)

      Thanks for the comment. How can I check from the template like what is value mapping ?

      I assume it is like, you need to map the values that you interpret from the agent returns. But I don't know them, is it something I have to interpret from the template ?

      Regards,

        Look here for more information on valuemaps: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../items/mapping

        Usually the place where you get the template will describe what valuemaps are needed. However, from the error you get it looks like the author gave a hint in the name, so it seems you only need to create a map with two values:
        Code:
        Cannot find value map "Fusion-io ioDrive :: 1:Yes, 2:No"
        So create a map called "Fusion-io ioDrive :: 1:Yes, 2:No" and create two mappings in it: 1 -> yes, 2 -> No

          Yes the author did give some hints, however, it fails for more such mappings

          Code:
          Cannot find value map "Fusion-io ioDrive :: Adapter Type" used for item prototype "Device {#SNMPVALUE} adapter type" of discovery rule "Discover ioDrive devices" on "Template SNMP Fusion-io ioDrive".
          May be I need to read the whole template again to see how it is working

          Thanks once again for the comment.

          Best Regards,

          A

            Hi,

            I managed to import the template by creating the Value mappings. I am still verifying the values though. For anyone who is interested to look further, I have few links which I found to be very helpful.

            http://manuals.ts.fujitsu.com/file/1...e-sw-tg-en.pdf → Reference for iODrive(SNMP section has some good information)

            https://translate.google.co.uk/trans...e/&prev=search – has the zabbix template with explanation and screeshots of value mappings, I managed to use it also and it is returning the right values as of now.

            https://translate.googleusercontent....ilXTpDoU7UUlzQ - has very good info on the SNMP OIDs.

            I am using the templates
