Just monitor certain objects, like disk space and or Network and nothing else?

Hello all...

I am new to Zabbix, its seems like a wonderful platform! I added a couple Windows servers as a test. All is working fine but, there is definitely too much info for me.

Is it possible to only monitor lets say for this example, disk space, swap space and and network usage and not see any other data? I find it a bit overwhelming to see so much data.

I am using active agent with Zabbix 6.0

Create your own template with just the items you want to monitor.
or clone the template and disable the items you don't want to monitor and associate with the host.

Thanks for the reply, I finally kind of figure out a couple ways to do what i needed... see below for a screen shot...

Just a quick note on how i am using Zabbix. I am using Zabbix active agent2 on some Windows servers and some Linux servers, I am also installing Zabbix active agent on employees laptops, along with Wazuh agents on all aforementioned devices also.

One way to disable alerts is to disable a trigger that i do not want via the triggers of a single host, and the other way is to add filters to, in my case "Windows discovery rule" like below.
This is easy to do and seems to work well.





However one thing i cannot figure out, yet, is how to tell Zabbix to ignore a host(laptop) when it is off line, as I receive emails and alerts on the dashboard after 30 minutes a laptop is not connected(powered down), I would like to increase to to 7 days or disable completely, any ideas?

Yes, it is the correct macro.
To apply to all hosts, change it in the Template.
To apply to a specific Host, change the Host.
