    Zabbix API item.lastns misunderstanding?

    Hello,

When I call the item to check when it was last updated with the property lastns which should be the time elapsed in nanoseconds since the last update/check (if I understood it correclty), the value is not making sense for me.

The item was last checked 42 minutes ago and the value of lastns is 529809232 which is 0.008 minutes.

the property lastclock returns the correct epoch time, but lastns doesnt seem to make sense.

I need to use lastns over lastclock, because I will not have access to the current time where I want to use it.

Could someone point out to me where I am not understanding something?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

No,those are nanoseconds within that timestamp of lastclock. lastclock.lastns. Gives you separation within one second...
Like with a trapper items, when you send from a file, you have option to define both tiemstamp (-T) and nanoseconds (-N). https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../zabbix_sender

EDIT: common sense should tell you, that if it would be nanoseconds since epoch, that number would be much much bigger.. Like billion times bigger..
