Don't get E-Mail notifications
Hi,
i have a little problem. Actually we have about 400 Servers to monitor (most of them not in our office). Everytime the internet connection (ISP) goes down, we get from zabbix an email for every server that it is unavailable by ICMP.
So i started to create dependency triggers. One trigger detects if the connection is down (if 4 hosts are unavailable: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, 4.2.2.2, one of our servers in a data centre) and added to the trigger to a testserver for ICMP Ping the internet connection trigger as a dependency.
Now if we simulate that the internet connection is down (change all IPs of the servers above to 4.2.2.7 which does not exist) we get notified by mail and the zabbix dashboard that we have no connection. But if our testserver goes down whilst theres no internet we dont get notified what is logical. But if we "turn on" the internet again we only get notified in the zabbix dashboard that this server is down but not by email.
Can someone explain me how I can fix this or do it even better?
We are using Zabbix 3.0.4. The Email actions are set that we get notified by every issue and it works without the dependency normal. If you need some screenshots let me know that
