Hello all, i am a newcomer to zabbix ,i apologize for my bad english in advance. I was asked by my manager to install zabbix server and deploy zabbix agents(sadly i was instructed to do it manually by hand for about 400-450 PCs which in turn i make a powershell zabbix agent deployment script out of it quietly) to user's PC for monitoring purpose. I have been learning the ins and outs of zabbix for 3 weeks. I have several questions, does AllowKey = system.run[*] parameter in zabbix agentd config file pose a security risk for small to medium business scale ? I am planning to step up my game in using powershell script and execute regular maintenance script remotely, i am quite sure remote script execution benefit outweights the security risk. Another question is : is there a way to automate zabbix dashboard creation ( by cloning the existing one and merely change the data source and item from certain host in certain groups,etc?
I have been dwelling about local PreSharedKey key filepath as well. I am really cautious on this one because my manager/supervisor won't let me to set User's PC custom NTFS Permission. What if ill-intentioned user or attacker compromised the psk file? Thanks In Advance
