Change Email Severity on LDAP provisioned accounts

    Hi all,

We have zabbix setup where users in the domain admin group on AD can log in using the LDAP connection. There email is automatically linked in the zabbix LDAP config. The problem is that we can't select the severity of alert which triggers an email to the user. I know that we can modify the trigger action to only alert on certain severities but it would be nice if we could still modify the email severity and time settings for the user. Does anyone know how this could be done?

    Thank you!

Same issue here and I can add that even you manage to solve it, the email server will eventually give an error regarding a timeout.
It's easier to set up a webhook on Teams or Telegram and add a user or group to receive the alerts.

But regarding your issue. What I did was: Desactivated the LDAP authentication, and logged in with the default Admin user.

Go to Users section, choose Admin and set the media for that user. Create a Zabbix Admins group and link to that group the media of your choosing (email, Teams, Telegram). Also, you can create a identical user as you know you have in the LDAP and set the media for it, and addd it to the Zabbix Group, but fron Zabbix interface.
Test it and when it works, activate again the LDAP.
Should work , altough for some reasons the alerts and some emails weren¡t sent or some triggers did not went in triggered state. But on my side i was facing some performance issues and Zabbix server wasn't in top health, so I can't put the blame on the service, it was more on my faulty tuning.
      Hope that helps you!
