Every run of Housekeeper used storage increases.

    Hi

I have a growing DB / used storage even when for a longer time no new hosts/items are added.
Strange thing I notice is that the used storage increases after a run of the housekeeper.

The blue increase is about 100MB, the Yellow 110MB.
I made a change in housekeeping setting to decrease the amount by making default history to 7 days (was 20days) and even on specific items in template reduce the 20d to 6hours because of the details which they contain the trend is actually more important than the value it self. That is why it changes from 540K to about 2M records.

I do know that housekeeping is actually clearing data and not resizing database. But I can't explain the grow in storage usage everytime the housekeeper is running. I would not expect that trend data should not contain that much data.
Running zabbix 6.4.8 but had the same problem on 6.0

Any ideas how to contain the grow of data usage?

Is there something like shrink command we could do if that is maybe not by default activated?

I am not a Mysql expert (of course it is better to refer to them), but the growth of the database when deleting rows is most likely related to the entry in the transaction logs.
Consult the documentation or MYSQL DB specialists on how to check the size of logs and configure them.
