    How to monitor a hung/freeze app

    Hi experts,

    Issue:
    Currently have the need to make sure microsoft outlook application is running on the server. In a week, encountered 2-3 times that outlook hangs/freeze/not responsive.
    How can I monitor an application (outlook, in this case..) using zabbix and make sure that I get an alert whenever an application froze?

    Currently am running ;
    Window Server 2019
    Zabbix 4.0.6

    Hi Irwan,

    I had a case very similar with your where I had to monitor the SQLSERVR process status and trigger an alert when the process change their status for "Suspended". Well, talking about MS Windows and process monitoring the only solution that I found was PSLIST.EXE. PSLIST.EXE is part of the Sysinternals package for Windows debbuging.

    Tip: To enable pslist.exe to run from Windows NT System User (usually used by zabbix agent), you will need use psexe.exe to run the pslist.exe and click on "I agree" in the pop-up, otherwise pslist.exe will not run properly from Zabbix.
