Zabbix 7 IPMI

I have just set up a new instance of Zabbix 7 appliance on my ESXi 8 host and successfully added the vmware template. I now want to monitor the IPMI stats on my ESXi 8 host. What is the best way to go about this?
My host is an Asrock motherboard and I have tested access to it from my zabbix server using ipmitool - ipmitool -U admin -H 192.168.1.x -I lanplus -L user sdr - this works OK and reports back all the IPMI sensor values.
I am confused on what the correct process should be to add it to my zabbix host inventory, do I need to use the IPMI chassis template or should I just add it using linux server template, add the IPMI interface and add the IPMI creds in the IPMI tab.
A step by step guide to monitor generic IPMI interfaces using V7 would be most welcome. Thank you for the support.
