I've been contacted by someone who is using MQTT and meshtastic connected devices to collect data.
I've got zabbix setup and subscribed to the broker and at the moment its just receiving the uptime of the broker so I know that connection is working etc.
Meshtastic encrypts the messages but then sends them in the clear through the mesh. I have the AES key to decrypt the actual message.
The issue is, I'm getting the payload, but its garbled because of the encryption, I need to be able to decrypt it as a pre-processor and then store it ?
I'm trying to avoid setting up another local broker in the middle to receive the messages and decrypt.
any ideas how we might able to pre-process received messages and decrypt?
TIA!
