Trigger Recovery expression is not working

I have a snmptrap that causes a trigger to fire when a door opens:

    This is the trigger configuration:

This is working great, but the recovery expression is not working. This is another snmptrap (similar to the first trap) that fires when a door closes.

Does anyone know why this is not working?

It does not work because your initial expression is still true... Remember, recovery expression is ADDITIONAL condition that has to become true AFTER your trigger expression has become FALSE...
In your case, your first item always has value of "door open", so your expression never turns false (it always finds it in last value), so it never turns to recovery expression to even consider it...

I don't know which solution was used by topic caster, but I think the easieest solution is:
as snmptrap[] items use regexp for matching, you combine both door open and door closed trap into single item in Zabbix and use same trigger as shown above (can also drop recovery expression in such case with same result)
