Zabbix Agent Ports in TIME_WAIT state
I have zabbix installed on about 12 Linux Servers (OS RH7.3, RH9, FC4 and FC5) On most of these server the Zabbix Agent has about 100 ports (port 10050) sitting in TIME_WAIT status (I get this by running netstat -n). The Version of the Agents are mostly 1.1.1, but I also have 1 v 1.1.2
Is this OK or is there possibly a problem? I could not find anything in the forums relating to this issue (I might have just searched worng as well)
My Server also has lots of ports connected to those Agents (this totals a hefty 450 ports sitting in TIME_WAIT status - about 130 of these ports are probably the local agent). Very little 10050 ports are in a different status than TIME_WAIT. Also the 10051 ports in use on the server are usually less than 15.
I will be updating the Agents to v1.1.4 soon, but I suspect that they will still grab the same ammount of ports
