    Re-discovering devices / manual discovery

New to Zabbix, looking to move from Librenms.

The setup is a web server, proxy sevrr and a db-server running PostGreSQL.

I have created a discovery for a subnet, and the devices did get discovered - but I wanted to make a change to the discovery, adding location OID as Visual Name.

Am I right to understand that there is NO way for me to do a re-discovery manually?

I tried to delete the discovery rule, and add it again - but to no avail, discovery did not restart.

How to I get the devices re-discovered?!

You mean that your hosts did not change name after you changed discovery rule? There is one line in docs (https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...work_discovery)... "If the host name has been set using an item value, it is not updated during the following discovery checks." I think you need to remove that host for it to be rediscovered..

Exactly, hosts did not change their visible names when the discover rule was changed to use another OID for visible name.

After digging through a lot of documentation and random google hits, I came up short - and just deleted all the hosts (140 Cisco switches), but the discovery rule was set to run at an 8 hour interval, and the hosts was only re-discovered after the 8 hours.

Changing interval to 5 minutes did nothing, as there can be no overlapping afaik, and even with the hosts deleted, the discovery did not run at the new interval but after the initial 8 hours!
