    Problems with creating a map

    Hi Guys,

i just installed zabbix an i wonder how big the funktionally is. First i am sorry for my bad english but i hope you can understand me

I have some Problems by building a map. When i try to add an element so i cant choose any icons. By this is an mandatory field i cant create any element. On different faq i see that the guys selectet icons with names like "router" "firewall" or something else... I cant choose any of this icons. My select box i completly clear.

My second question is how i can build my own background. Where must i place the picture and what format i have to choose?

I hope someone here can help me

    Regards

    Tazzu

When loading the database schema/default data, did you load zabbix-<version>/create/data/images.sql into your database ?

Configuration > General then choose Images in the dropdown list. You can upload new images.

Images are stored in blob fields in "Images" table.

      I think so !

when i try to load again i get

      zabbix@linux:~/zabbix/create/mysql> mysql -u root -p zabbix < schema.sql
      Enter password:
ERROR 1050 at line 25: Table 'services' already exists
      zabbix@linux:~/zabbix/create/mysql>

When installing, you have to load/execute three SQL scripts (script names here are for mysql):
        - create/data/data.sql
        - create/data/images.sql
        - create/mysql/schema.sql

Did you load all three ?

You've already loaded the script once. If you really want to restart from scratch drop all the tables (or even drop the database and recreate it).
