Overview rendering with large numbers of hosts

I've noticed on the overview screen that refreshing the page and rendering the table takes a good amount of time when you get above about 60 or so hosts at a time. Is there anyway to speed this refresh up (I noticed that the host entries along the top of the table change position, is there a reason for this...) ?
