Monitor channel recordings

Hi

I have a windows server which records tv channels. New file is created each hour with this naming: LIVE_BBC_WORLDNEWS_yyyy_mm_dd_hh.trp
example:
LIVE_BBC_WORLDNEWS_2016_10_11_13.trp
LIVE_BBC_WORLDNEWS_2016_10_11_14.trp

I want to be notified if the recording fails ----- i.e. next hour, new file not created.

Any suggestions?

Don't think you can do it with Zabbix.. But with a simple external script, that would be pretty easy, then you just to set the output, depending of the result..
0 = file is here
1 = file is not here

and set a trigger on item=1
