Zabbix_sender failure when monitored by proxy

Hi All

I have a stack of switches all monitored by a local on-site proxy. I've setup Oxidized and it's working well, everything is run from the Zabbix Server.

I'm trying to implemet the Template here (https://github.com/clontarfx/zabbix-template-oxidized), When trying to test the zabbix_sender, it won't accept the data when I send it for a switch that is monitored by an differnt proxy.

When the switch is monitored by the server it works fine though.

Is there a simple way for me to get the zabbix_sender to work from the server, while maintaining the monitoring from the proxy?

“Send” to the proxy monitoring the device? What version of Zabbix?

If your device is monitored by proxy, then you need to send all the data towards that proxy. From the monitoring (polling/receiving from agent) point of view, your server has no knowledge of that host.. it will say "sorry I don't know this host". All that knowledge is given over to proxy.

The system sending the data doesn't actually know who the proxy is, it is part of Oxidized Trapper to send success or failed backups. Oxidized is running centrally on my server so unsure how to send it to an specific proxy. I might need to look into the oxidized API to see if there is a way to remotely grab the data or something.

Can you somehow explain, what you just said...? What settings?

I'm not sure what this means. Are you able to elabrotate a bit more?
