    Zabbix agents

    Hello everyone,

I have a quick question about Zabbix agents.

If I need to monitor around 200 servers using the Agent, do I need to install the agent on each individual server?

This seems like a lot of work, but I've heard it's possible to automate this process using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

I'm not familiar with these tools and haven't used them before.

So, my question is: How does this process work exactly? How can I leverage these tools to enable monitoring on a larger scale?

    Thanks in advance.

Well, its a wrong place to ask, TBH. you should ask how to use Puppet in Puppet forums... https://www.puppet.com/ About chef in chef forums .. https://www.chef.io/ etc...
These tools are for managing and automating your environment. Installing software is just one part of them...

Ansible is for starters easiest probably, does not need some separate infra. Playbooks can be run from command line. Just have to make sure you can access your hosts and have enough permissions to do things.. For starters maybe read Zabbix blog about this ..https://blog.zabbix.com/finalizing-t...ansible/13321/ or search for "ansible playbook for zabbix agent" on G.
