Monitoring disk under Windows Server 2012 R2

    Hi
Iam quite new on the world of Zabbix , I have installed some switches and it seems to work fine.

And now its time for Windows Server 2012 R2 installation over SNMP , seems overkill for me to use the agent. I just now want to monitor disk usage primarly.

I have experimented some with Template SNMP Disks , and sure I got the info from the disks into Zabbix, but to bad I got the D:\ Which are Dvd drive on my virtual server .Which I would like to avoid to info about.

I have googled alot and snmpwalked alot aswell and I think HOST-REOURCES-MIB::hrstoragetype are the key in some way I need to filter out how to poll only objects of hrStorageFixedDisk type. But the Zabbix template polls HOST-RESOURCES-MIB:hrStorageDescr only and in some way I need to poll fixeddisk first I suppose and then check for corresponding object number in hrstorageDesc , but I dont know how.

    Quite newbie in SNMP world.

    So would apprciate som help.
    Thanks alot in advance.

I would suggest just using the agent, it is very light weight and adds a lot of monitoring options through the normal templates that are very useful, including disk discovery and monitoring.

If you really don't want to, still look at the template for Windows in how they do disk discovery and the filters that are in place to ignore removable drives, I assume you want to do the same thing using SNMP discovery of those items.

For example, I use this on my disk discovery:
    {#FSTYPE} matches (NTFS|FAT32|CSVFS)
