    Looking for a solution?

Hey, I'm looking for a way to monitor the performance of a few linux boxes and remote windows boxes.
Ideally the config for the remote windows boxes should be as simple as possible and easy for end user to install.

I tried another solution but sadly the windows agents are not ideal and require a linux box to actually feed data in to their cloud solution, this made it difficult and insecure without VPN etc.

I'd like to avoid this, whilst making it simple (and secure) for the end users to install the agent on their windows hosts.

I'd like to check if there is a solution suitable for this. I'd also like to monitor the services and servers, including a Proxmox cluster, MacOS and possibly some network switches which reside at my location.
I'm not looking for an enterprise solution and would prefer to host this myself. The monitoring is mostly for a ham radio hobby project I am involved with.
    Many thanks!

Monitoring of OS is done by an Agent.
However you could use a Proxy as centralized collector at a site/VLAN and let that proxy send over the data (proxy active) You can secure that proxy in many ways, see manual for that.
And do some research on proxy an possible setups...
