Discovery / Apply Template by Mac Address

Hello

We are looking to apply templates to devices based off the first few characters of the MAC Addresses discovered.

The inventory is properly populating the MAC address, but I don't see a way we can setup a discovery action based off the mac address.

Is there another way to accomplish what we are trying to do?

For example in a project site if the mac address starts with a certain prefix we know it's a PDU and requires a certain type of template.

Just a rebump.

I would be willing to pay for this feature if someone could script this if it's not possible natively.
