We have a Zabbix server hosted at our central offices and then a proxy at each of our remote sites. I am trying to get a better understanding of how we can monitor the internet connect at remote sites as we have configured zabbix to send an SMS when the internet connection goes down. At the moment i run a web scenario on each proxy that works well and i'm being reported on when things go down.
Issue i have, is if the proxy has no internet connection, it won't be reporting back to the Zabbix server until the internet is back up. is there anyway i can monitor the last seen on proxies from the Zabbix server as i believe this will report downtime far more instantly.
