Monitor vmware system, which vmware account should be used

Dear support, i am using Zabbix 6.0. i want to use it to monitor our vmware system.

in our vmware system, i have 2 physical servers ESX01, ESX02 installed vsphere esxi8.0, and installed vcenter 8.0 appliance VC01 on one of the physical host, ESX01 and ESX02 joins Cluster1 and managed by VC01. they are not in domain and use self signed certificate.

I create a local user account user1 in vCenter from SSH connection. user1 has Operator permission. then in vCenter portal, assign read-only role to this user. in Zabbix, create vCenter server VC01 as host, and use user1 and password in macros. Zabbix is able to communicate with VC01 and discover hypervisor and vms from LLD.

i also created a user directly on vcenter portal, [email protected] and assign it read-only role, but by using this account in marco of vcenter host on zabbix server, it's not able to access vcenter server and discover from LLD. i could not find the message now, but did see when it runs discover, on zabbix portal it shows wrong username or password, something like that, so it's not able to get infomation from discover. i even tried with [email protected], it also failed. in addition, i tried user2, [email protected], vsphere.local/user2, none of them works.

Does anyone has any information on what kind of vmware user account i should use to monitor vmware system? And what if hosts and vcenter are in a domain, what kind of account can i use? thanks!
