Using API to provide session code for temporary authentication

Hello

We are utilizing the API To display data from zabbix in another system. We would like to insert hyperlinks in the other system to the zabbix record that would log the user in automatically without putting the credentials in the URL.

Is there a way we can do this on the API side that it could pass a session code that would work as a variable in the URL for a certain period of time?

This way it's super convenient and maintains a bit more security.

Does anyone have any ideas for this? Even passing credentials through a URL or a POST method.
