Monitor service using multiple items

Hello,

Let's say we host our website.
For this website be online, we need :
- Internet access OK,
- Web server OK,
- Apache on this web server OK
- Switches OK
- etc

Is there a way to create an item on a host (created for this purpose) wich is a concatenation of others items on others hosts ?

Hey Mate,

The zabbix server (and the DB) is where all this information would be stored. I would just install the Agent2 on the servers you won't to monitor and have them check what you're looking for. The server also runs a local agent. For example, the agent present on the web server could be checking:

(Agent) Internet Test | Item Key -> web.page.regexp[http://www.msftconnecttest.com,,,"Page not found",,] | 1 Zabbix agent 2
(Server/Proxy) Web Server | Item Key -> See above, or, depending on what you want executing the check, you7 may also be able to use "HTTP Agent" 16 HTTP agent (zabbix.com).

I haven't used this, but Zabbix does have a systemd template: Systemd monitoring and integration with Zabbix

Switches
Search here -> Zabbix Integrations and Templates. I would suggest you use any of the native templates they have. Zabbix supports most of the major vendors.

2 SNMP agent (zabbix.com)
