how to monitor node UP/DOWN in Zabbix.

Hello Everyone,

Since I am new to Zabbix platform. Could anyone guide me how can i monitor my node up or down ? in my dashboard, i can only my node is showing OK only. what will it display to dashboard when node is down?
- Does the status OK(green) will turn to red?

Anyone please help me to explore more about this.

It is depends on value which node return during the down state. How you monitor the node is it return ping status or zabbix agent status?

Hi Vijayk, I monitor the node with ping status. Since i am new to Zabbix, i'm not sure why the node is still having status OK even when the node is unavailable by ICMP Ping

You can test the ping from zabbix server to client for verify the result. Please test it. Is it working or not?

I have tested from Zabbix and it worked. So officially we are going to monitor node up and down by ICMP ping
