Help regarding hardware monitoring in Zabbix.

    Hi,

I am new to Zabbix. Want to know how to perform hardware monitoring in Zabbix? I want to monitor disk failure, CPU failure, etc. of some servers.

    Please help.

        Hi Akansha123,

I think you should start with some tutorials as well as the documentation.

        Tutorial:

        Documentation:

After that, you should search at https://zabbix.org/wiki/Zabbix_Templates .

From which vendor are your Servers?

          Hi Daniel4711,

          Thanks for the reply!!!
Servers are from Dell and Cisco.

I was looking at the templates, but couldn't find any for hardware monitoring like disk failure, server failure, CPU failure, etc.

So how to perform hardware monitoring? Couldn't find anything even after searching for 2-3 days.

Dell and Cisco both have tools that will report back hardware info. There are also scripts floating around the net. Your best bet is likely to just grab them or scripts and do it outside of the agent and feed it into an item using something like zabbix sender.

SNMP is also maybe an option, but I think you'll have better luck using the 3rd party tools/scripts.

We do not use ipmi as our systems are monitored via the Fujitsu Operations Manager, but perhaps this is the solution for you?
