Problem connecting public zabbix agent over external network

Hello I come with the problem of not connecting the agent , which is in an external network and can not be found. I have exposed ports 10050 and 10051 to the public. I looked for a tutorial on the web unfortunately I did not find. Please help how I should do , even step by step.

Start looking in the logs of agent and server.
Are you using the agent in both modes? For active agent the hostname MUST match the host name in zabbix. And port 10051 is used by default. And parameter ServerActive should be configured.

For passive Server parameter must be correct to allow zabbix server to communicatie with that agent. By default that is 10050 as port. If you don't use both, then dont expose both port.
It's wise to use encryption is such situation.
Training is useful to understand the mechanisms When you have more than 1 client which should connect to a external zabbix server then please use a proxy for that.

      Look for the logs.
