Monitor NAS attached to Server behind firewall

    Hello forum,
i have a problem and ran into a mentally dead end here
There is a synology nas attached to a windows server behind a firewall. Active agent is running on the windows server, so this is fine.
Now I wanted to monitor the NAS attached to said server and this can be done with a community template using SNMP.

I was thinking to add the SNMP interface to the windows host, but would that not make Zabbix Server try to connect to the NAS snmp port directly?
I tried adding the interface and of course I get a timeout during connect. Is there a way to make the windows sevrer check the NAS via SNMP for me?
Maybe I have to add a zabbix proxy behind the firewall to do the check like piggyback it?

Have never done such chained checks, so I am grateful for any hints

You are correct, if you add snmp interface to that host and snmp items, then it tries to connect directly. Through agent it would mean a lot of scripting and UserParameters. Having a proxy inside that firewalled area should help you, if you set that host to be monitored by that proxy and all querying is done "from inside".
