    PDU Load average shows hundreds instead of hundreths - 272 AMPs instead of 2.72 AMPS

    I’m running zabbix version 6.4.14.1 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.9. I’m graphing the following SNMP items for a Liebert PDU device from data gathered via snmpwalk and snmpget. The data being graphed is the average load in AMPs per PDU bank[1-3].

    The example below shows the values retrieved are in the hundreds - 272, 280, and 114. The actual values should be graphed in hundredths, 2.72, 2.80, and 1.14 AMPs.

    How do I convert these values to hundredths in my graphs so the correct amperage is represented? Is there a way to perform this in zabbix?

    # snmpwalk -v 1 -c LiebertEM 10.90.xxx.xxx 1.3.6.1.4.1.476
    .
    .

    LIEBERT-GP-PDU-MIB::lgpPduRbEntryEcHundredths.1.1 = Gauge32: 272 0.01 Amp-AC-RMS
    LIEBERT-GP-PDU-MIB::lgpPduRbEntryEcHundredths.1.2 = Gauge32: 280 0.01 Amp-AC-RMS
    LIEBERT-GP-PDU-MIB::lgpPduRbEntryEcHundredths.1.3 = Gauge32: 114 0.01 Amp-AC-RMS

    Below is my existing graph. Any help would be greatly appreciated – Thank!

    You can add a preprocessing rule (custom multiplier = 0.01) the item that collects the data. If the items are created by a discovery rule, you can edit the item prototype.

        Markku,

        Apologies for not responding faster. That did the trick. Although I have one more question that I hope you can answer.

        1. Should the "type of information" for my data item be "Numeric (float)" or "Numeric (unsigned)". Thoughts on when you should use either?

        Thanks again in advance!

          If you care about the difference in 1.07 amps and 1.98 amps (you probably do), then float is the correct one. Using the integer ("unsigned") type causes Zabbix to just discard the decimals, saving both values as 1.
