log into your Linux and update from there. Ubuntu as example: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade it will upgrade all linux packages and zabbix packages.

... but always read the version/upgrade notes first before upgrading:

I've tried this, but there is nothing to update...

Thank you!!! So what I did, was just run this... "sudo systemctl stop zabbix-server"
then run the sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade - I saw it install the zabbix items
And when when I rebooted and opened the website, it showed the new version!!

Thank you - I have had such bad luck in the past with updates.. But I hope, just stopping the server helped...

You don't have the Zabbix server/proxy/agent repo installed. Follow the install instructions in the download page.

I followed those instructions when I first set up Zabbix, so I'm not sure what you mean. The Zabbix repo shows up in the screenshot I sent.

The repo in the screenshot is not "zabbix" but "zabbix-tools", that's a different thing.

How do I add the "zabbix" repo?

The instructions to install Zabbix repo is in the download page: https://www.zabbix.com/download?zabb...ysql&ws=apache

Basically the .deb file sets up the APT sources, "sudo apt update" loads the package lists, and then you can install/upgrade the components you need.

I did this when I first set up Zabbix. I did it again for good measure. The update still does not show. What am I doing wrong?

Note that your downloaded .deb was named as ".deb.2" and you installed the ".deb" one, if it makes any difference.

                          I'd suggest the following:

                          sudo apt purge zabbix-release
                          sudo rm -v /etc/apt/sources.list.d/zabbix*
(if there happens to be something still)
                          sudo dpkg -i ....deb
                          sudo apt update

next release, you don't need to stop zabbix service, just updated right a way and refresh your zabbix page.
