Monitoring Application across several several servers ?

Hi,

I am looking a way to monitor one application across several server.
It is Oracle Collaboration Suite.

It is installed on 2 servers:
- S1 : LDAP + Database server
- S2 : Applications server

I am monitoring actually both using zabbix trapper and agent and I defined one application Oracle Collaboration Suite on each server to link the item to this application but now I am looking to have an overall view on OCS on the two server and not OCS on each of the server.

Any idea ?

If you are using trapper you may consider sending traps related to the application with the same hostname. In this case all your application related data will be stored under, say, S1/OCS.

This is what I did and it is working fine, but as the application is working across both servers, it will be nice to have a view for the application whatever the host

Actually:

S1/OCS
S2/OCS

Nice view would be :
OCS

and the same kind of trigger as status for the host to check the availability of the application.

A way for to bypass is to use map and put all the required triggers on it.
