Missing template_app_XXX_service.yaml in Zabbix 7.0

Hi,

I am considering upgrading my Zabbix from version 6.0 to 7.0. However, after checking the GIT repository, I noticed that in version 7.0, all the templates named template_app_XXX_service.yaml are missing.

Currently, I am using the following templates:

• template_app_ftp_service.yaml
• template_app_https_service.yaml
• template_app_http_service.yaml
• template_app_pop_service.yaml
• template_app_smtp_service.yaml
• template_app_ssh_service.yaml

Unfortunately, these templates are no longer available in Zabbix 7.0. Does anyone know the reason for their removal? Is there a new way to monitor these services? Has anyone tested if the templates from version 6.0 are compatible with 7.0?

I have searched the documentation but couldn’t find any specific answers regarding the sudden disappearance of these templates.

Those old generic templates are so simple that there shoudn't be any problems in using them in Zabbix 7.0 as well.

I can't agree that they are not used. I have not found that their functionality was transferred to another template. I had to download the latest version from the git. In 7.0 works fine.
