How to monitor docker and containers using REST API??

Hi,
The easy go is to install the agent and discover the information from docker & containers.

But I am looking for a way to collect the availability & performance metrics of docker & containers WITHOUT INSTALLING ZABBIX AGENT.

Could anyone please help!!!
