    zabbix agent installation failing into Debian 9 "stretch"server

    I need to install zabbix agent into Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) server.
    zabbix version 6.4 / OS distribution Debian / OS version 9 (stretch) / agent
    following the process from:
    https://www.zabbix.com/download?zabb...debian&os_vers ion=9&components=agent&db=&ws=

    This first part works fine:
    wget https://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/6.4/d...ebian9_all.deb
    dpkg -i zabbix-release_6.4-1+debian9_all.deb zz0.jbyszsnbb3zz

    but failing in next step: apt update with below error:

    root@REDIS-STG-01:/home/redisuser01# apt update -y
    Ign:1 http://ftp.be.debian.org/debian stretch InRelease
    Ign:2 http://ftp.be.debian.org/debian stretch-updates InRelease
    Err:3 http://ftp.be.debian.org/debian stretch Release
    404 Not Found
    Err:4 http://ftp.be.debian.org/debian stretch-updates Release
    404 Not Found
    Ign:5 http://security.debian.org/debian-security stretch/updates InRelease
    Err:6 http://security.debian.org/debian-security stretch/updates Release
    404 Not Found [IP: 199.232.170.132 80]
    Reading package lists... Done
    E: The method driver /usr/lib/apt/methods/https could not be found.
    N: Is the package apt-transport-https installed?
    E: The repository 'http://ftp.be.debian.org/debian stretch Release' does no longer have a Release file. zz0.av3lm4sphrkzz

    I can not find a repo with a good packages, can please somebody redirect me to a repo with correct zabbix agent version that can run in Debian 9
    Because of the software running there in this moment is not an option to upgrade OS

    A quick Google search shows that Debian 9 has already been moved to "archive".
    That's why the 404 error.

    Try this tip:

      E: The method driver /usr/lib/apt/methods/https could not be found.
      N: Is the package apt-transport-https installed?
      try this:
      Code:
      sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https && sudo apt-get update

        thanks a lot in advance, after followed your advice sadly still not working:

        after: sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https && sudo apt-get update I got:

        root@REDIS-STG-01:/home/redisuser01# sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https && sudo apt-get update

        1 not fully installed or removed.
        Need to get 171 kB of archives.
        After this operation, 243 kB of additional disk space will be used.
