    Anyone running Zabbix on SSD?

Our hardware is getting a little old now (4x 72gb 10k scsi raid 10) and we're thinking of renewing the server.
Seeing as the price of SSD has came down, I'm just wondering whether we should go for that and whether we would get any gain from it?

I'd reckon that you can benefit quite a bit from using SSDs and more RAM, but there are a lot of other tweaks that may boost the performance as well.

For example have a look at the configurations they mentioned in these threads: https://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50665
Mysql + TokuDB with SSD cache (this one is pretty extreme)

It would also be worth while having a look at the official Zabbix performance tuning docs, although it does not include the advanced stuff such as MySQL partitioning.
