In our R&D lab, servers are grabbed from the pool for testing and then powered off.
We use an IPMI template in Zabbix 7 to monitor servers, but we get false alerts when servers are down.
To fix this, we want to monitor servers only if the IPMI (BMC) responds to ping, but the OS NIC doesn’t, ensuring the server is truly down.
I’m unsure how to implement it and seeking help.
