own created template, pushover alerting not being used

    Hello all,

I'm pretty new to Zabbix and trying to get my head around how it's supposed to work.
For now, I'm struggling with a template I've created, which works how I want it to work including items, triggers and graphs, with the exception of getting alert notifications sent to Pushover.

In another template I've cloned (Linux by Zabbix agent active) and altered, Pushover notifications are working perfectly and also testing the alert media itself shows that it's working.
But for some reason yet unknown to me, this newly created template is only sending out alerts via email, including updates to the issue and closing the issue.

I've tried comparing both templates to see if there is something obvious I'm missing.
I also tried to put Zabbix server logging at DebugLevel=5 and have a look at zabbix_server.log , but both steps did not help.

The version of Zabbix I started out with, was 7.0.0 and has been upgraded to 7.0.1

Does anyone have the solution or a suggestion on what can be missing for the newly created template?

    Thanks in advance

    Update:
    I saw a hint in https://www.zabbix.com/forum/zabbix-...874#post470874
The user group must have read rights for the host group.

I'm not sure why it works this way, but there are probably use cases where this comes in handy.
But for my situation, every time I create a new host group I must alter the user group permissions as well, as there is no "All" option for the permissions to the host groups.

    edit:
I've removed all the host groups from the user group and it still works. It seems that adding the host groups to the permissions was not a good idea in the first place.

      Hi,
what does your trigger action look like? Are you sure its condition covers the host that is triggering the even?
