    Discovery using SNMP

    My client's request is that I load no agents on the Windows machines to be monitored.

    Can I discover machines using an SNMPv2?

    I have set up a discovery rule check like this: SNMPv2 agent "iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0"

    I then set up an Action condition like this:
    Received value like Windows
    Discovery status = Up
    Service type = SNMPv2 agent

    smnpwalk returns the value I am looking for:
    SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Hardware: Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 1 AT/AT COMPATIBLE - Software: Windows Version 6.1 (Build 7601 Multiprocessor Free)

    No machines move into the assigned group.

    Help.

    i have less experience with discovery rule
    but you can just add the WIN server as an snmp host manually.

    Configuration -> Hosts -> Create Host
    and there choose SNMP interfaces and incert WIN server ip.

    or your trying to do something else and im missing it. :\
