Working with multiple verdor MIB files and I do not see a clear process to discover SNMP Trap OIDs to create an ITEM and trigger for . There are several thousand need to account for an really don't want to have to build an ITEM and Trigger for each. Based on the documentation, all the MIB files have been placed into the recommended directory, but then where can Zabbix discover these files and create the SNMP Trap as an ITEM?

Zabbix does not discover your MIB files and does not convert them to items and triggers... If you upload your MIB files, you can use textual OID-s instead of numeric ones... Thats all there is...
If you need to create a lot of trap items, then it is a load of manual work.
I just recently had to deal with avaya traps... oh boy... I used a MIB browser to export notifications from MIB, then had to add some stuff, that I needed, in Excel..
then exported it all again as csv, and wrote a python script to parse through that file and create items and triggers one by one... A load of work for me, maybe easy task for someone, who can actually write code..
