Alert when discovery item is no longer discovered?

    How do others accomplish this?

I found a firewall that had a bunch of interfaces marked for deletion, but only found it by chance. I'd prefer to get notified when this happens.

I *could* add the discovery SNMP item as a regular item and alert on nodata(), but it seems like more of a workaround than the right way to do it. It also assumes that you can do this (which isn't always possible).

At the moment it is not possible to have such functionality.
I'm afraid that at the moment even developing kind of JFDI for this may be a bit problematic.
