    Xen Server 6.2

    Hello,
I have an installation of Xen Server 6.2 and looking to monitor the Xen Server nodes. Main concern is to have visibility of disk failures but also benefit of seeing CPU/RAM utilization.
I have the latest version of Zabbix installed.

I have tried using Linux for SNMP agent but it is very basic info and storage/network/RAM data is not present or failing.

Can someone please advise the best option for monitoring the Xen servers.

I have 3 Xen nodes in 1 cluster. Upgrading Xen Server is not an option for me at this time and iLo monitoring on the underlying hardware is also not an option for me at this time.

    Regards
    Mike

Have you looked at the Zabbix Integrations page?
There are some community templates available, although they are outdated.
    Maybe they can help you.

Thanks Mark, As a Zabbix novice I am not entirely sure how to use those. There are a load of xml files and a compiler command. I can try downloading and running that but is the output a yaml template. not sure, but I can try..

This is why I thought I would go the basic Linux monitoring route which is what I am having issues with. The right MIBS seem to be there but memory and network polls are failing.

        I see.
These templates seem to use a C program to collect Xen's data. You would have to compile the program and use it with Zabbix.
        Unfortunately, I can't test this as I don't have a Xen environment.

However, if your Xen server provides SNMP data, you don't need an external check.
I would advise you to read the Xen documentation and how to monitor SNMP data with Zabbix.
