If I have a number of identical hosts (with identical SNMPV3 access passwords), .i.e. tens of LAN/SAN switches, what would be the best practice to store SNMPv3 passwords for snmp agents on those switches, should I modify/add the desired password to a template, or should I define a password macro for every LAN/SAN switch individually? I'm a bit reluctant to modify the template itself, but then it is a lot of work for multiple switches to add those passowrd macros.
