Disable Discovered VMware Devices

No matter how I ask this question, the answer seems to be referring me to disabling discovery which is not what I am looking to do.

We want to be able to add a vCenter to Zabbix manually as a Host. We then do want the Discovery to find all ESXi servers and further find all VMs under those Hosts. BUT... we want those ESXi servers and VMs to be added as Disabled Hosts so that no monitoring is actually taking place for them until we Enable the Host. To clarify, we want no polling to occur for those ESXi servers and VMs until we chose to move each Host to the Enabled Status.

Is this possible and if so, how can I configure this?

There is "create enabled" tickbox in host prototype config

Untick it and your hosts should be created in disabled state
