    Weird network graph

    Hello
I m using zabbix for a really long time now and in one my server, for the past 24 hours, I get something like this shown below. this is a streaming server and usually the line should be flat and quite stable. Despite this weird graph that suggest the network is having some issues, everything seems to be running smoothly. After reboot nothing changed.
    Thanks for any hint.

Maybe you're getting timeouts in your items?
      That could explain the gaps.

I have been pinging that server but there is nothing wrong with the ping and if it was, I would have problems with the streams as streaming need perfect network .

Hey! Have you checked the latest data for those items in the graphs to see the periods missing? You could try to inscrease the timeout for those checks / hosts.

If you're using SNMP, I've faced a weird behaviour with that, it was basically that when collecting a SNMP value from a switch, for example, if the item had a low interval (i think it was 30s) i would get something like: 3 to 5 correct values and then a 0 and it kept repeating like that, which made the graphics look very weird. I don't think that's what you're facing, since you don't have any value in those gaps.

I would recommend increasing the timeout if you haven't tried that already.
