We are using VMware FQDN and the dependent Templates to auto-discover and monitor our VMware environment. We have a VM that runs very high CPU usage but that is ok and we don't worry about it. If I go and suppress the trigger it "hides" but then reappears. I assume when the next LLD runs. Is there a way to really suppress an alert in a VMware environment effectively?

Hello! I think my template isn't updated because i don't have these trigger, but, you can take a look at the macros used in the template, maybe there is one that sets the threshold for the CPU Usage trigger.
Another option, probably better for your scenario, would be to deactivate the trigger for this host, you will keep monitoring the host cpu usage with the item, but it won't create any alerts for high usage.
