ICMP Ping template problem

Good morning everyone!

My name is Marcos and I'm starting to use Zabbix as a Network Monitoring System. Currently I have the following problem: I have all the hosts that need to monitor in the same group, some with the Zabbix agent, others by SNMP and others simply with the ICMP Ping template. The ICMP Ping template I added to each host as it comes by default and I currently do not see any alerts when a host loses connectivity. What could this be? Do you have to create alerts besides those that come with the template?

1. it could be the items in the template that theirs item interval is way to high and your host restoring connectivy while it checks - i personally made ICMP item interval 7 sec.

2. check latest data- do you see data there ? is the item supported?

I made ICMP item interval 7 sec but it isnt working either. Even I add a host that its disconnect of the network and the event doesn't appear. I send attached a screenshot of the status, host and latest data of Zabbix.

Just try to read your posts here and try read as a texts written by someone else .. try to ask yourself "do I have enough technical details about this guy case to start any technical discussion?"
No one knows what exactly you are measuring, what kind of alarms definitions you are using and what you are observing over zabbix data.
In such conditions you are asking for help/advice .. however in such condition it is really hard to say more than explain with what kind of problems you are dealing.

by this attechment i can see that your host is NOT MONITORED!
why does ZBX is grey ? supposed to be green...

Maybe im wrong, but the thing is: can Zabbix monitor a IMCP Ping just with the template? I mean without the Zabbix agent. That you said before ZBX have to be activate but its not because im not using the agent.

You don't need an agent for simple checks, but you do need to put the host's IP/DNS in the interface...
