External website HTTPS check

Hey guys,

I've created a host which is the DNS of an external website (that I own).
I want to check from the Zabbix Server that port 443 (HTTPS) is available. So I used the template for simple check of HTTPS, but it keeps telling me the service is down, even though I can telnet just fine from the server to the website.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure how zabbix handles https trust, but is your certificate globally trusted or self-signed? Is your application a regular web server or something else? Maybe it wants 'ca-certificates' package etc.
