Has anyone written custom reports with the metadata database?

Greeting. Im liking the idea of having some zabbix reports that can show me things like tracking resources based on day of week/ time/ etc. So if I want to see what resources for a server were like every Tuesday at 3:AM for the last 6 months in the GUI I'd have to do a lot of pointing and clicking. I have imported a backup of the zabbix DB into postgres and wondering about writing queries to do this type of thing. Has anyone already done this that could offer any insights? Main tables to query? Pitfalls to avoid? etc -- I'd like to avoid reinventing the wheel if possible.

    Thanks!

Also, Im looking through all the tables in this DB and can't find anything with actual resource usage (disk, cpu, ram). Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Do you think there is a table called cpu usage?
It is item values in "history" tables.

No, I was hoping to find a table named something like "resources" that may have columns like cpu, disk, etc to no avail. All insight is appreciated, thanks.
