    SMART Monitoring negative Value meaning

    Hello everyone,

i am completly new to zabbix and had an external HDD with a SMART Status of Abnormal (2).
Checked the HDD and the status seams to be right. So after replaceing the external HDD i have the following Error on the SMART Value:
Value of type "string" is not suitable for value type "Numeric (unsigned)". Value "-1"

Is this due to Zabbix which cant read the SMART Data of the device?
What does "-1" mean in this context?

snmpget returns the same value of -1

    Zabbix Server Data:
    Ubuntu 24.04
    Zabbix Version: 7.0.5
    Database: PSQL
    Web Server: Nginx

    SNMP Check on QNAP NAS

    Kind Regards

    Hello,
Looks to me like NAS failed to communicate the values in a proper way.
If you could share the exact NAS type, i could explore further.

    Kind regards
